It cer­tainly is also true that a senior, liv­ing at home and expe­ri­enc­ing the increas­ing pres­sures of home own­er­ship and man­age­ment, can ben­e­fit immensely from the sup­port of a “village”.

The vil­lage con­cept, as spon­sored by SRI at Home, includes not only the mutual sup­port of vol­un­teer mem­bers, but also involves the ser­vices that can be obtained from a list of qual­i­fied and screened pro­fes­sional providers, trades peo­ple and technicians.
