A delightful cruise

On Wednes­day, August 5, mem­bers from the Aquid­neck and South County houses took a delight­ful 90 minute Light­house Cruise aboard the 400 pas­sen­ger, state-​​​​of-​​​​the-​​​​art, high speed cata­ma­ran Mil­len­nium, out of Quonset.

Mil­len­nium is the ves­sel that nor­mally runs the high speed ferry ser­vice to Martha’s Vine­yard dur­ing the sum­mer months. It has three view­ing lev­els, out­side sun­deck seat­ing, air-​​​​conditioned inte­rior seat­ing and a full-​​​​service bar/​​galley.

40 Percent Skip Prescribed Medicines

A new sur­vey, recently released by The Senior Cit­i­zens League (TSCL), found that senior cit­i­zens are being forced to make dras­tic cuts to their med­ical and food bud­gets due to the recession.

The sur­vey, con­ducted over a three-​​​​month period ear­lier this year, had more than 1,040 respon­dents aged 65 and over. Findings include:
