Everyday Q & A, Part 1

Recently there arrived a set of 25 Quizques­tions in our e-​​mail inbox. They are ques­tions about things we see every day, or have known about all our lives. Appar­ently, though, the aver­age per­son gets only seven right answers out of the twenty-​​five.

We have divided the batch into smaller batches. In this and each of the next four elec­tronic newslet­ters from SRI at Home, we will present you with five ques­tions to test your­self with. The cor­rect answers are posted on our website.

Be warned, this can be more dif­fi­cult than it looks. Put your think­ing caps on, and don’t cheat by look­ing around or using any­thing on your desk.
