Whether you are looking for ways to convert your backyard into a lush garden space, or just trying to improve your yields while keeping your soil healthy and fertile, this introductory workshop is for you.

Since 1981, the Southside Community Land Trust (SCLT) has been teaching gardeners of all skill levels how to grow food safely and productively in Providence.

Rich Pederson will introduce you to everything you need to know to start and maintain an organic garden. We will discuss the basic tenets of organic gardening, as well as techniques for seeding, transplanting, maintaining soil fertility, controlling pests and weeds, container gardening, and more.
