Houses

Since the geographic area covered by SRI at Home is large and separated by Narragansett Bay, for convenience in providing and receiving services we are organized into two inter-connected “houses”. They are South County, and Aquidneck Island.

Activities of each House are based on the interests of its members, but currently include individual house meetings on an agreed-upon basis, joint meetings with other Houses, and separate small group meetings on topics of special interest. Each house has its own support group to assist members in times of personal need, a volunteer handyman’s group, and a volunteer transportation group. Some Houses have a social committee to plan dinners and outings, a cultural committee to arrange for guest speakers on topics of critical interest, and even a “home before dark” theatre and concert group.

Items of particular interest to the house members will be posted in the areas of the site under the “houses” menu. The “houses” pages also include a way to contact housemembers, ask questions, and request information. The possibilities are endless–yours to create and plan.

By having fun and maintaining good health and intellectual vigor, we can sustain our goal:

Living at Home, Helping each other!
